Anika Schwarzlose (1982, East Germany) is an artist, researcher and lecturer. Her practice often involves collaborative production cycles and focuses on the function of archives, the repurposing of images and reproduction techniques. Her work examines lens-based recordings and media, specifically the influence of dispersion, adaptation and composition of images on specific narratives. Presently she is investigating ideas on human, machine and mineral evolution and metabolic connections between life and non-life.
